Trade In

We’ve partnered with vintage and pre-loved guitar specialist Well Played Gear to offer a trade-in option against the purchase of any Heritage guitar. As part of the initiative, we will accept trade in of guitars with an original purchase price of $750 or less. If you’d like to discuss trade in of a guitar with a greater value, please contact us.

What is a trade-in?

This is our trade-in option that enables you to part exchange your pre-loved guitar for a brand new Heritage guitar.

We are working with vintage and pre-loved guitar specialist Well Played Gear to assess and receive trade-ins.

What is the trade-in process?

Get in touch with our sales engineers to discuss the guitar you want to trade in.

Once the team at Well Played Gear has assessed and approved your trade-in, the quoted value will be applied against your new order. Once your payment has been processed, we will ship your Heritage guitar to you.

When you receive your new Heritage instrument, simply unpack it and use the box to securely package your own guitar, along with the returns label provided. Shipping is free of charge.

What happens to my guitar once I trade it in?

Don’t worry, it will be well looked after. Your guitar will be received by the experts at Well Played Gear and will be resold on their platform.

How long does the trade-in process take?

Once we’ve received all of your information and payment has been received, your order will be processed within 1-2 days and if the guitar is available immediately, it will ship within 5-7 days. If the guitar carries an extended lead time, we will advise you accordingly.

Is trade in available in my country?

Trade in is only available in the USA.

Can I trade in without a receipt?

If for any reason you can’t provide a receipt, we will do our best to provide an accurate valuation of your guitar.

How do I provide photos?

One of our sales engineers will contact you via email and let you know what kind of photos we need of your guitar. When you’re ready, hit reply, attach your photos and send them to us via email.

How long do I have to send my guitar to you?

Please ship your guitar to us within one week of receiving your new Heritage Guitar. Shipping is free and you can either take the guitar to a drop-off point or arrange for it to be collected by our courier.

How do I know if my guitar qualifies for trade in?

Through our partnership with Well Played Gear, we will be able to accept most guitars with an original purchase price of $750 or less. If you have a guitar that you purchased for more than $750, contact the team with the details and they’ll let you know if it can be traded in. The Well Played Gear experts will evaluate your trade-in request and you’ll be informed accordingly with the final decision.

Can I trade in more than one guitar?

Only one guitar can be traded in against an order of one new Heritage instrument.

How do I track the status of my trade-in?

For trade-in approvals, one of our sales engineers will get back to you during business hours. Once your order has shipped, we will email you a tracking number.

Will I receive the quoted trade-in value?

We will reduce the total price of your new Heritage guitar order by the trade in value quoted by our sales engineers.

What if I change my mind?

We can’t accept returns however our standard warranty still applies to your Heritage guitar.

Can I trade in at a store?

You can only trade in online.

How do I pack my guitar for trade in?

When your purchase is confirmed, one of our sales engineers will send you a shipping guide via email. When you receive your new instrument, simply unpack it and use the box to securely package your own guitar, along with the returns label provided. Shipping is free of charge.

When will I get my payment?

There won’t be a cash payment. The total price of your Heritage guitar will be reduced by the trade in value quoted by our sales engineers.

How do I get extra help with my trade-in?

Please be aware that we do not cover any processing fees, currency exchange fees, or any other additional transaction fees that may be imposed by your bank.
